Raiders of the Lost Community

I must admit that Community is pop culture blind spot for me, but I know it has a dedicated audience, so this one is for you. (Indy Community by Otis Frampton)

10 Cents Gets You Nuts

Another piece from Tim Doyle's show Unreal Estate, debuting at Spoke Art tonight. The previews have been amazing - can't wait to see what other shows/locations he tackles.
And you can't go wrong with the Bluths, especially with the confirmation they are retuning next year!

30 Rock: The Animated Series

I could imagine this playing as a cartoon, with an even less tenuous connection to reality. I mean Kenneth is already practically a cartoon character. (via An Illustration-a-Day Blog)

Rock Out With Your Matlock Out!

Despite appearances, attorney Ben Matlock does not wanna rock and roll all night and party every day. He just likes Peter Chris and cats. (Chet Loggins - thanks for the tip, Tristan)

The League Of Extraordinary 30 Rock

This is awesome. It appears to have been all over the geekernet, but awesome is what comic book illustrator Alex Ross take on the cast of 30 Rock as Alan Moore's The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. Donaghy is a perfect casting. (Link via Comics Alliance)
Jack Donaghy as Mr. Hyde
Jenna Maroney as Victory (I think)
Kenneth Parcell as The Invisible Man
Tracy Jordan as Captain Nemo
Pete Hornburger as Alan Quartermain
Liz Lemon as Mina Harker
Frank Rossitano as a Martian

The Cheers Intelligence Graph

I agree with this chart wholeheartedly, but Cliff Clavin just below Diane? "Who are three people who have never been in my kitchen?" I rest my case (Dan Meth: #18 in a series of pop-cultural charts)

8-Bit Breaking Bad
The inclusion of Victor under the ATM machine is a nice touch. Click through for the full character legend. We started watching Breaking Bad this summer and caught up just in time to realize we'd missed the first three episodes of the new season. Arrggghhhh! (Breaking Bad iotacons by Andy Rash)

Darkness Falls Across The Land: 100 Years of Vincent Price

To celebrate 100th birthday of Vincent Price, Zach Bellissimo drew 100 of his roles on Sticky Notes. Naturally, who wouldn't?
My first encounter with Vincent Price was on the cheapo Canadian TV show The Hilarious House of Frightenstein. I had no idea at the time this campy host was such a horror icon.

Homer No Beer Function Well Without

Graphic designer Jerod Gibson has created a series of typographical posters using quotes from classic movies and TV. Awesome stuff and it was hard to pick just one, but you can't ever go wrong with a good Homer Simpson quote. (Thanks, boyreporter)

Best 1970's Party Ever!

This image, from the January 1978 cover of Pizzazz, a Marvel pop culture mag, would have blown my mind. Even now it's hard to comprehend the awesomeness. (waxandmilk via Gamefreaks)

The Frakkin Toasters: By Your Command

"Humanity's Children have come back ... to rock the human race! Caprica 6 and her Cylon bandmates are coming to conquer your hearts and minds with their latest album "By Your Command". Armed with poppy hooks and shredding guitar solos, songs like "Are You Alive?" and "Skin Job" will have your spine glowing red faster than a squadron of viper pilots can say FRAK!"

Ming Of The Hill

Can't wait for FOX's revival of King of the Hill as a Flash Gordon crossover with Ming the Merciless. I think Dale Gribble would make an excellent second-in-command (Via tokyosexwhale)

Anton Chigurh-Dooby Doo

And if it wasn't for you meddling kids I would have won that coin toss. Hmmm, Anton Chigurh really would make the perfect Scooby Doo villain.
From Josh Cooley, who has been wondering about odd Scooby Doo guest stars, and he's taking suggestions for who to draw next.

The Office Avengers

The latest mashup challenge at Draw2D2 is The Office vs. The Avengers, which means there will be a whole lot of great looking pop art that I will only half understand the references, such as Andy Hunter's work above.

Mad Mr. Men

When this came out last year I was amused because of the Mr. Men reference but I wasn't watching Mad Men at the time. Now while sitting in front of the TV and nearing the end of Season Two I remembered The Poke's take on these advertising icons. They nailed Sterling.

Who Observes The Observer?

"The scientist will look up and shout "Save him!"... and I'll look down and whisper "The boy is important. He has to live."
A Fringe/Watchman mashup? Yup, awesome and only on sale for a few more hours. (Dana Lechtenberg for RIPT Apparel)

Last Supper in South Park
Pop surrealist Ron English has returned to the subject of the Last Supper for his contribution to a South Park pop art show. English was one of the first Last Supper parodies to catch my eye and is the first painting in my original collection of 100 Last Suppers.
This time round he takes to the denizens of South Park and haves himself a time. Unlike most parodies, this one actually has a Jesus as Jesus, as Christ conveniently lives in Colorado. His Judas? Mr. Hat - no surprise there. Towelie as the table cloth is a nice touch and Mr. Hankey as the body? Gross.
